  240v adapter for Volt 2017 Charger. I purchased a 2017 Premier Volt this weekend, and I've read a lot about the charger being able to supply 240v with an adapter. Does anyone know where I can purchase a premade adapter? Unfortunately I'm not an electrician so making one myself is out of my wheelhouse. Thanks!

  Probably not out of your wheelhouse. If you can do a circle hole square hole puzzle and read, then you can probably fashion an adapter. That being said, you need to do some research on the receptacle you're going to power from. Get a plug for your 220-240 v recepticle and an r20 (receptacle) end with some adequately rated wire. Get a diagram from the diys on gm-volt.com and connect wires accordingly. If you run into a question, ask it but it's pretty straightforward.

  I would put on my Volt whatever is the most efficient tires. I recently asked on gm-volt.com if there were any tires more efficient than the stock OEMs and the consensus was no. I'll need new tires soon as I have 51K miles on my original ones. I'm trying to hold out as long as possible as worn tires are more efficient.

  There are a few threads on this at Gm-Volt.com as well. I am a frequent Disney World visitor and emailed them right after I bought the Volt. The official line is that they are "watching" the technology but have no plans to implement yet. She did point out that if I rented a Fort Wilderness campsite I could plug in using 120 v. Guess I need to buy an RV!
