  Hi All, after 6 weeks of "pancake poops" and "loose-poops" while eating Orijen Large Breed Puppy, my vet has advised we switch our puppy's dog food. He is otherwise in perfect shape, no parasites, gaining well, and a happy guy (he's 4mo. and 30lbs). Vet suggested 2 foods with gluten containing grains. I can't use them because both my son and mother have celiacs (must not touch/eat or be licked by a puppy who has eaten gluten)--UGH! I'm striving to find a food without wheat, barley, oats, rye (all contain gluten). Has anyone else found a gentle-on-the-tummy food without those ingredients? I'm thinking of trying Fromm Prairie Gold which appears to be gluten free--has anyone successfully used Fromm Prairie Gold that has had tummy issues---or does anyone have other suggestions?

  Agree with another poster who suggested raw meat. My sweet boy has been raw fed his entire life, he's now 2 yrs 3 months. We use Hare Today Gone Tomorrow https://haretoday.com and mypetcarnivore.com. Another great site is reelrawdog.com (too expensive for me). All sites have great question and answer pages, especially Hare Today.

  Bichelmeyer meats in Kansas City will grind either organ meats or chicken backs (not sure about necks) and package in the amounts requested. You should call a day or two ahead of time so that they can thaw and grind it for you. I don't know how much it will cost though. The last time I was there, they also had pork hearts, kidneys, and liver as well as beef.
