Anyone know any good family friendly campsites in the new forest? Hey, my wife and I were just about to start planning a camping holiday for the summer, but our usual destination, Sandy Balls in the new forest, has stopped ALL camping and touring this year, and only have lodges and static caravans now, which are a lot more expensive than camping.
Does anyone know any other campsites in the New Forest with similar facilities? (electrical hookup, play parks, restaurant, pub, swimming pool, activities for kids etc.)

I don't know if these are the same, but there are a couple of Hoburne Parks https://www.hoburne.com/holiday-parks/hampshire/ There's also Shorefield https://www.shorefield.co.uk/ Failing that you'd be best to check Forestry Commission, Caravan Club, or Camping and Caravan Club sites.
a very long shot but does anyone know anywhere in the new forest (preferably near lymington) dog friendly with availability for this coming bank holiday weekend that won't cost the earth...?

I've decided to rent a camper van and take Harrison on a bit of a road trip for our hols. Just a few days but can anyone recommend some good places to camp or just hang out in Dorset/Avon? Or can recommend good van hire?

Otherwise, Swanage in The Purbecks is a must and perfect. Campsites all over and the most amazing coastline. Caldron Barn and Ulwell Farm are small and traditional but this one is the most popular with families. http://www.shorefield.co.uk/ take the Sandbanks ferry over if you can, amazing beaches and pubs.... xx
