A program like MAP is critical for a city/county in TEXAS. However, there is one massive tragedy that is occurring through out this state, that a program like MAP cannot remedy. A patient diagnosed with cancer, will not be able to see an oncologist for approximately a year of being on a waiting list. This is the same for a patient with heart symptoms trying to see a cardiologist. I’m sure there are many more examples........
Hi! Urgent request. Does anyone know of a program that helps people with diabetes Type 1 without medical insurance to get treatment or insulin? Have a family member that needs help with this.

I have a friend who moved here with almost nothing and wasn’t making much money but made too much to qualify for Medicaid and too little to qualify for subsidies on Obamacare. (Thanks Texas for not expanding Medicaid!) - She was able to get on the MAP program here in Travis county. Your friend should look into it. It covers doctors visits and prescriptions. http://www.medicalaccessprogram.net
Local needs dental work on the cheap Hey ATX I could use help finding a inexpensive dentist. I had a front tooth chip and I need to get it fixed. I only pull down $7.25 per hr and with rent and life I can't afford hundreds of dollars for dental work. I am a Disabled Veteran but the VA doesn't cover dental work for me. My employer doesn't offer benefits either. Halp?!

Apply for this: http://www.medicalaccessprogram.net/ It's disgusting that our former service members don't receive dental care. I'm sorry for that. This should be a great resource for you though.
I'm uninsured and in dire need of an inexpensive dentist in the Austin area. Suggestions?
