  I really liked Incanto Restaurant (incanto.biz) for dinner and farm:table (farmtablesf.com) for breakfast. farm:table cooks local ingredients so the menu is different every day. they usually announce on twitter. Both these places are in San Francisco. And yes, I also like a sourdough breadbowl with clam chowder at Bodin's (in Fisheman's Wharf) even though it's very very touristy!
