  I like the small neighborhood places. My number one recommendation is Cafe Jaqueline on Union St. It is exceptional and a unique experience. Swan Oyster Depot on Polk for lunch, La Taqueria for fantastic Mexican food, Mission Chinese Food, Green's for the view, Lers Ros Thai for authentic Thai, Frances for the bacon beignets, and everyone will tell you Yank Sing for Dim Sum. I LOVE Yank Sing however, for the steam buns filled with pudding alone, try City View. Go to both!
