  Fellow Romans (that includes Armuchee folks, too!), I need to take my reliable car (2001 Mercury Grand Marquis, 150K miles) to a mechanic to check on some acceleration issues, but I also want to give it a thorough checkup. Do you have any recommendations for a mechanic? I'm leaning toward the Ford/Mercury dealership just to be safe, but I'd really like to avoid the premium charges and I don't know whom I can trust.
