  This 5 month old male is a rescue. He was abandoned at the vet after being boarded and due to legal issues was stuck there for almost two months. We've had him for a week. He's already progressed rapidly and is learning to trust us - we have a formerly aggressive older female GSD and had a high prey drive Jindo until last year. We are equipped to handle high maintenance dogs; however, this boy - on leash- was more aggressive than we've ever seen when we introduced him to the gentleman that works on our yard. He was downright ferocious and tried to attack the mower and ultimately was able to reach far enough to bite him. Clearly, his aggression is fear based and we are actively looking for a local trainer to assist us with this; however, we would like to hear how others have handled similar situations.

  I am working with Hot Dog on a Leash...funny name, but they are amazing. I am down in san diego, but they do offer training in LA county. I highly recommend them. I know you probably won't work with my same trainer, but Randy is who we have been working with. He has tons of experience with the breed. My male is also aggressive on the leash and we have made progress in leaps and bounds. http://hotdogonaleash.com/
