  Good evening, everyone. My dog Whiskey is getting pretty old. He hasn’t been eating very much lately and we switched him to a wet dog food, same brand, and he refuses to eat it. It’s not like him, he usually goes nuts for wet dog food. He hurt his mouth last night, or so it seems. We’ve tried to check for anything in his mouth ourselves but he starts to yelp, and I don’t want to hurt him anymore. It’s breaking my heart. He may have a sore or an abscess, and I really need to check him in, but I am extremely short on funds right now. I’m very worried for his health. Does anyone have any recommendations for a decent vet clinic that may be able to work out payment options, or a lower cost vet fee? I’ve considered The humane society in Boulder so far. Is that my only hope? Any information is extremely appreciated. Thanks again.

  Hi there- We just found a rabbit on the grass off of Caria and I think it was likely hit by a car. It's still alive, but doesn't have the use of its back legs. We were able to get it safely into a cardboard box. Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is currently closed until tomorrow at 9am. I'm wondering if anyone knows any local emergency vets or another rehab places who will might be willing to see this animal before then. Any suggestions or resources would be terrific. Thanks!

  My dogs got in a scuffle with each other the other day, and now one of them has what looks like a tennis ball on the side of her throat. Regular vet said to take her to emergency. Called Alpen Glow in Boulder (they did other dog's TPLO surgery), and they said visit will start at $163, just to examine her, not including draining (or whatever) to take care of it. Any suggestions on somewhere I can take her that will be slightly less painful on the wallet, but will still give her good care? Or, is that pretty typical pricing?

Our elderly dog has developed a severe limp and our vet and radiologist can't find any cause from X-rays. Feel free to PM me as well.
