Sorry you had a bad experience, but honestly I won't go anywhere but Pets & Pals. Been through so many issues with our dogs over the years, they've always been there for us and didn't maul our bank account in the process.

I was fairly unimpressed by p&p on an emergency visit I had for my dog and have since switched to Lafayette companion. The reception staff and techs are super sweet and patient. I see Dr Brooke for one dog and recently dealt with another one of their doctors. Brooke was definitely better (for me anyway), but the other vets aren't bad.

I learned the hard way. It gave my boy crystals in his urine and I had to pay out $3K to get him better. Just don't feed them it even if they like it. I should have named my boy Mikey cuz he likes to eat everything.

I'm so sorry about your dog, Susie. We go to Lafayette Companion Animal Hospital and they have been phenomenal. They're very open to presenting you with all options for care (common sense immediate care all the way through preventive/early diagnostic/hitting everything head on) and letting you choose what feels like the right approach, based on their guidance. I've never had a vet work this way and it has been pretty great. Any time that we've taken the more cautious approach, things have been right on. I don't think that they do payment plans, but their prices have been really great. We've never been so happy with the care of our animal babies, honestly. Their number, in case you're interested, is (720) 214-0270.

I really like Dr. Sunshine at the VCA on Public. I found him to be very honest and caring. He would always have a conversation with me about treatment options and what could help vs what vets just try to sell patients on.
