  Help needed asap. My daughter accidentally hit a large raccoon last night. She got out to check on him (this was literally pitch black and after midnight) and saw him limping off the road. She went to an emergency vet and they said they couldn't do anything. She cried all night and this morning went to check and he is injured and laying there breathing, but obviously in pain. Can anyone help???? We need him put to sleep or rescued by a wildlife preserve and don't know where to start. Any ideas, numbers, etc. will be appreciated. Thank you.
