  OK, guys...I'm in desperate need of help with Cash and house training. He's almost 6 months old and has still NEVER gone to the door to be let out. We take him out about every 20 to 30 minutes and he still will come inside and pee again within minutes. He KNOWS he's doing wrong too because as soon as he has, he runs off and hides. This morning, I brought him downstairs to go outside. He ran and laid on the floor vent to feel the heat. I gave him a nudge to have him go toward the door. He ran from me and hid under a chair in the living room....all the while peeing everywhere he was. I had a trail of pee throughout the entire house to clean. When I picked him up, he continued peeing while I was holding him! That's the second time he's done that. We are at our wits end here. We've done everything short of crating him 24/7 which is honestly the next option. :( He is the smartest dog I've owned but the house breaking is going to break us all. Please help us......

  Karen, contact Kati Boswell at the shelter 301-777-5930. She is a professional dog trainer and teaches classes at Allegany College. She may be able to give you some ideas on how to potty train and redirect bad habits. :-)
