In the vein of looking for medical help: I had been training for the 15km race in November, but after running 12kms the week before the race, I was waking up in the middle of the night with pain in my ankles and had to ice them. I went to the doctor at the end of November and was told it was a tendon problem and to rest for several weeks before trying to run again. Well, it still hurts and I went back to the doctor last week and he diagnosed me with a subluxated peroneal tendon. He mentioned the word 'surgery' and ordered and MRI. I would like a second opinion and/or just the name of a good Orthopedist and/or physical therapist. The guy I saw last week was a bit random (seemed to know more than the guy I saw in November, but still). If I do need surgery, I'd like the surgeon to not be via random selection. Anyone recommend a person? Thank you!
