  Update: We named this sweet soul Tank so I will refer to him as that. Tank is currently at Cobb Emergency Vet receiving care from them. I have been informed that once he's healed, they will release him to Animal Control. They will hold him for 7 days, and try to locate the owner or see if anyone comes to claim him. I am going tomorrow to add myself to the list, in case no one is found. I will be calling frequently to keep a close check on him, and we plan to rescue him once he's placed there. Once again, thank you all for sharing and being so kind. Dog found on Erwin Street in cartersville. He's pretty bad banged up and his right foot is mangled pretty badly, we aren't sure what happened to him, he just laid down on our front porch and has stayed there. He needs to be taken to an emergency vet, however the one on his collar is closing and they won't help. If this is your baby, please contact me. He's a male, such a sweetheart and is letting us love on him even though he's very injured. Someone please help me. I can't leave him like this and don't want to call animal control, fearful they will euthanize him. This is somebody's baby! Please share. If anyone knows of a vet or emergency anything please let me know. This is heartbreaking.

  HELP - ASAP!!! NEED 24HR VET REFERENCE in ROSWELL, GA ASAP! It's New Year's Eve, and one of our foster dogs just got bit by a snake. All of our regular vets in the area are already closed for NYE. The Emergency Vet does not open til 7pm. We need to get Gretta somewhere ASAP. Anyone have suggestions? (5:10pm 12/31).

  I would say nature center also, but they are closed right now. Cobb emergency vet may be able to help you...they take in wild animals and I've had to call them before. 770-424-9157
