Does anyone know a local place to buy loose leaf tea?

Be careful about commercial teas that are sold (grocery store and Teavana). Tea leaves are not washed prior to withering/fermentation and bagging which means if it's not organic, you'll be drinking any pesticides and chemicals that were used on the bu sh. If you can wait a couple of days to get a supply, I would recommend going with an independent tea seller. Someone who knows where the leaves where grown and harvested and can tell you about the origin and processing of the tea. I know it sounds crazy and I'm very much a tea snob but the processing and quality of the tea matters. Teavana is a great entry level tea- especially their herbals but it has a lower quality. Meaning that their tea blends are usually only good for one infusion. Where a better quality tea will be good for 4 or 5 infusions without loosing it's original taste. Here's the place I order from in San Francisco. They will do expedited shipping. I recommend the organic cloud & mist, the organic formosa red, and the organic golden monkey. http://www.redblossomtea.com
