We've tried a couple of banks out here since moving and they have been horrible so we've kept our Colorado credit union, but now we need something that doesn't require an 8 hour drive to make a deposit, has decent customer service and don't nickel and dime you on fees, or flat out lie to make a sale.

  Community America Credit Union cacu.com. Closest locations are in Olathe - 135 th and K-7 (near the k-7 Wal-mart) and Santa Fe and Blackbob (in the Lowe's and Hen House parking lot).

  Most people will recommend [Community America Credit Union](https://www.cacu.com/) over a bank. But I really like [Bank Midwest](https://www.bankmw.com/) as far as actual banks go. I've been with them for probably 10 years now (I moved here 12 years ago and did the big bank thing unhappily for a few years). I do also have CACU and use them for credit cards, loans, etc, since the rates are cheaper. As far as mechanics, I typically go to [Casey's Auto Repair](http://www.caseysautorepair.com/) in Mission, just on the other side of 35 from Shawnee (not sure what part of Shawnee you'll be in).

  Can anyone recommend a good bank in the STL area? Commerce Bank has nickeled/dimed to death and I'm done. (charged me $12 to receive some funds electronically.... ELECTRONICALLY! RECEIVED not SENT! and told me those fees are "nonrefundable, and no Ma'am, there's nobody else to ask).... OK, I'm sure some other bank will be happy to keep my money for me....Suggestions?
