We have a sweet guinea pig who is loved very much. She is almost 1 year old but we think she has a cold. Lots of sneezing, heavy breathing. Does anyone here know how to treat? We cannot afford a $200 vet visit

Try ARBA.net website. American Rabbit Breeders of America. They are to rabbits and guinea pigs what the AKC is to dogs. Look under Articles Care of rabbits and cavies. May be helpful info information for common illnesses for cavies which are guinea pigs. They also have list of local breeders. The 4-H office may also know of local breeders who might help you.
Is there a detailed flyer somewhere for this weekend's rabbit show? I know the date and city, but I need a physical address and show times. The ARBA website doesn't give that much detail.

Looking for a good show for a young kid just starting to show... planning to show his pair Nov / Dec before breeding them this winter.
Any recommendations?

Arthur is a great show in Dec and smaller. Peoria will be a daunting show for a first time exhibitor. Noblesville might be a good show to start with too. It should be smaller so should have time to help a first time exhibitor get their feet wet with out being too overwhelmed. https://www.arba.net/.../INDIANAPOLIS%20RABBIT...

If anyone knows of a USDA inspected commercial rabbit processor in Ohio, please let me know,I have a friend who is a chef who is looking for processed rabbit for his restaurant at reasonable prices...
You might want to check with ARBA (www.arba.net) or the PRMA (www.prma.org) for info. Good luck. I'm not sure if there are any. I raise rabbits, but process my own for personal use. That won't help here. Mary-Frances
I am looking for a breeder in Florida or close enough to ship 2 does and a buck for my son. He is getting started into rabbits and he loves the silvers. I am running into a problem becuase I nolonger...
First, make sure that your son wants Silver Fox, not Silvers, which are a small breed. Then I would try to contact Heidi Brashear, who is in one of the Carolinas or Southern VA, not sure which. She may have a way of networking a trio to you. You can also go to arba.net, for a list of shows coming up in your area this fall. This may give you a way of networking with a breeder who might come into FL to show this fall. Good luck!! Jo Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30 tour

Try looking at the ARBA site, they usually have a long list of breeders for just about any state. The link is: http://www.arba.net/ perhaps it will help with your goal. ruppert3 wrote:I'm in Jersey City, NJ.
