  Question for my lady friends: Went to Hairsmith in San Gabriel for many years, they closed, followed my friend who does my hair to a place on T.C. Blvd. I have really fine, straight hair so need a perm every three months. My hair is still pretty dark, to cover that "other" color, I have color done every four or five months. (Plastic cap, hair pulled through with crochet hook, color applied.) Because of fighting rhuematoid arthritis and balance problems I go weekly for shampoo, hair dryer, curling iron deal. The place in T.C. sold. The environment has greatly changed. Don't know how long my friend will stay, I will stay as long as she does. So here is my question--Are there shops around that still do what I need done? A couple of my friends still sit under hair dryers instead of being blown dry. Since Wayne the barber retired in T.C. my husband also has his hair cut by my friend. Would appreciate input. Thanks, Shirley Anne Wigglesworth

  Shirley, Sherry Owens is not at the beauty school. Her family owns the Alhambra Beauty Supply & in the back of the store is the salon. It's on Main & Fifth. She is very nice & I'm sure she would be happy to discuss. 626-284-8651
