  Big thing is to decide what set-up you want: Power brake booster or a manual setup with a dual master cylinder. I didn't mind pushing the manual brakes. It's a little cheaper to go with manual, but it's not much more to buy a power booster and master c ylinder kit though. The front disc brake kits don't interrupt the stock column shifter. You will see that you need to buy a pedal conversion kit to keep your stock clutch pedal (if you use the CPP kits).   Cool Truck - I'm out of Copley, Ohio (west of Akron). I own a classic truck parts company specializing in 53-56 F100's - look up CMW Trucks. Let me know what you need in the way of help or parts. I built a mostly stock 53 F100 years ago. I replaced the rear end with a 9 inch out of a 68 F100. It was a bolt in. You also can keep the F100 - 5 on 5.5" wheel bolt pattern this way too. Spring perches were the same width as the leaf springs and in the right place left to right on the axle tubes - no welding. I only had to buy new U bolts (rust). I'm pretty sure the F100's from 67 - 79 are really close to the same (maybe into the early 80's). The spring perches are 2" wide on some of those 67 - 79 trucks. I believe my leaf springs were 1-3/4" wide on my 53.
