I was wondering where you found those? My local hobby shop only has the traditional off white. Do you have any good Etsy shops, or links for them? I have a cabin scene I’m looking forward to stitching, and I think I want to do it on navy or a darker color so the lights really pop. Any help? Thanks!

sotefikja replied:I've started purchasing my fabric at 123 stitch.com. They have a great selection of Aida, evenweave, and linen. Aida you usually stitch "over 1", meaning every stitch uses one square of fabric. Evenweave and Aida, on the other hand, you usually stitch "over 2" meaning that every stitch skips on hole and then uses the next. The counts on evenweave and linen are typically twice as large - instead of 14, 16, 18, you'll see 28, 32, 36. Since you stitch over two on these fabrics, a 28 count evenweave or linen is the same size as a 14 ct Aida.

warriordrkrose replied:I mean generally depending on the company kits dont get that high. Dimensions. Design Works. Check out 123 stitch.com They have a huge selections. Now some kits do get to be high but genuinely they are usually full coverage pieces.

I can only find Anchor floss in store at €1.50 ($1.60) which is breaking my bank for larger projects, and cannot find large pieces of fabric anywhere. I have found some cheaper options online which I think will become my regular purchasing method. Do you shop in store or online? And if you're in Berlin... any recommendations for cross stitching supply stores?
Chicken_noodle_sui replied:A lot of people in Australia use 123 stitch.com. it's an American online store and dmc is $0.44 a skein. They ship to Australia so I assume they'll ship to Berlin too. My sister lives in Berlin though and we've had some trouble getting stuff to her through the post because of the strange system for apartment buildings and things end up getting returned to Australia. Hopefully that doesn't happen to you. (Maybe we wrote the address wrong)
