We are still in the middle of our engagement with Udi, so this might be premature, but thus far it has been a great engagement in every respect. He's thoughtful, insightful, responsive, even-keeled and always a gentleman.

A phenomenal architect, works closely with his clients to create a unique, but fitting design, and is passionate about seeing it through to the finish. Highly recommended.
Udi is an extraordinary architect. He designs beautiful spaces, listens carefully to his clients, and works in a collaborative way to produce a beautiful end result. One of the most striking things about his houses are that no two look alike. He sometimes shares elements from one project to another, but his dedication is to the people for whom he is working. So, taking into account their interests, needs and wants, he comes up with something fitting.
In our specific project, he was very flexible at the start - willing to reconfigure rooms, layout, design - essentially everything was on the table. Once we began to lock down the footprint and the flow, Udi really kicked into high gear. He has a very keen eye for aesthetics, and stitching together spaces. That's where he really shined on our project, since our renovation was complicated by having a split-level house with a round interior.
Udi also was as involved as we wanted in picking out flooring, window and wall colors, cabinetry, etc. In some cases we did things on our own, but it was very helpful to have him as a trusted advisor and sounding board. And for some choices we really needed his help.
The one area where Udi could have been more precise was in the actual plans that went to our contractors. While the overall design was good, there were missing details that occasionally could have slowed down the project (as in exact measurement for wall widths in all areas, or radius of various round areas). Because Udi was readily available, and because the "team" (contractor, project manager, us) worked closely together, it didn't end up having a material effect. However, it is something worth pushing on, since you want your plans as baked as possible to avoid any confusion or re-work.
In the end, we were absolutely thrilled. The house came out very well, and there were some individual elements he designed which - although complicated and sometimes difficult to achieve - give the house some character. We highly recommend him for any renovation, and certainly for new house construction as well. And, he's a particularly good fit when you've got a project that requires real creativity, or you are looking for something unusual.

Udi is a great, wonderful person and a calm influence in the storm of house renovation/construction. He is a true artist with a wonderful eye for light and space. It was great working with him and we love the sketches that he would do on the spot to really help us visualize our options.
