About us
"Nantli" means mother in Nahuatl which is the language spoken by the Aztecs and other indigenous tribes in Mexico and "amada" means loved in Spanish. Nantli AMADA not only means "loved mother", AMADA in this case also means, Apapachos para Madres y Apoyo Dedicado con Amor in spanish which translates into Pampering for Mothers and Support Dedicated with Love.
Nantli AMADA Birth Services was born out of my passion for birth, providing support to families and from my very own birth experience with my daughter Izel. I was very fortunate to have had two doulas at my birth along with the amazing support of my husband and had an incredibly transformative, beautiful and empowering birth experience. It is my hope and dream that any woman that is giving birth is given that opportunity and that they are respected and honored the way they would like to be treated. This is something that I offer my clients and help make their ideal birth a reality in every possible way that I can.
I am a CAPPA trained Birth and Postpartum Doula, Lactation Educator and Childbirth Educator as well as a Postpartum doula trained through Birth Mama. I am currently awaiting certification and working towards my certifications for both the educator portions.
I am also a babywearing educator trained through Center for Babywearing Studies and have over 6 years experience first hand with babywearing and spreading the babywearing love <3
I am now also offering placenta encapsulation as a service and will begin the certification process to be a placenta specialist through Full Circle Placenta Encapsulation.
