Hey everyone! Are there any nutritionists here? I just ran into a family friend who lost 80lbs. I asked her how she did it and she said she went on a protein diet (animal protein) I asked her if she also was exercising and she says no, just the diet. I don't even understand how that works? How does one even lose weight, that much weight, by eating animal protein?? Anyone know? Anyone heard of these diets?? I want to inform myself a bit bc my mom (as it's her friend) is now considering it as well but I really would love to inform her better with some good info as to why she shouldn't. She's got osteoporosis so for that reason alone, I don't want her eating more meat, but would love more input if any of you know! Cheers!
