This one is also in Gracia - http://www.tiendatanit.com/asp/index.asp . http://www.thelivingfood.com/ - they have mostly food but also some cosmetics. And if you feel like ordering online https://www.ecco-verde.com/ They are based in Germany I think.. Not all the brands sold are with "cruelty free" certificate , some have different certificates, but when you open the product it tells you immediately.
Hey everyone! Are there any nutritionists here? I just ran into a family friend who lost 80lbs. I asked her how she did it and she said she went on a protein diet...
Read this article and click on the links that say "here" and watch the videos. There are a lot and you will get a good education on the dangers of a high meat diet. http://nutritionfacts.org/topics/meat/

AMDR (Acceptable Macronutrient Distribution Range) suggests that on average calories from protein should be 10 - 35%, but admits that the amount for protein was actually double what is really needed by the human body. Fat should be 20-35%. (World Health Organization lists 15% as the minimum for fat and Dr Dean Ornish and Dr Douglas Graham say 10% fat is plenty.) Carbohydrates should never be below 45% of daily caloric intake and it is better to have upwards of 65% from carbohydrates. Healthy high carbohydrate foods such as fruits and vegetables are full of phytonutrients, anti oxidants, vitamins and minerals. Even www.choosemyplate.org and the DASH programs encourage people to eat more fruits and vegetables and less high protein foods.

I included the article above for that purpose. Please take the time to read it. Also, consider this: when we drink coffee are we being nourished and energized? No we are not. "Oh but why do I feel all perky when I have my morning cup of coffee?" That is because coffee is a stimulent. It stresses the body into action rather than energize it. Ingesting caffeine is the equivalent of sticking your finger in an electric socket. Our body is jolted. And this is harmful especially if we KEEP DOING IT. Protein is also a stimulent - it is not a nutrient. Eating heavy amounts of protein jolts our body into action trying to figure out how to protect us from something it does not want. By doing so it burns up an awful lot of fuel. And with low/no carbs coming it the body also searches for fuel to keep itself going. It will start to use it's own fat reserves for this purpose and the body literally begins starving at the celular level. Initially one may experience weight loss but this is not a healthy way to go. Again, read the article. Here is another one: http://health101.org/art_Atkins_diet.htm
