  My cousin who lives in Tel Aviv is very ill she has seen 4 doctors and it's still not getting the help she needs. She recently had a baby and cannot travel to Jerusalem it is too far she needs someone more local if anybody knows of a good doctor she has seen four doctors with ear infections now they say there is bleeding in the ear now they think she needs a neurologist, this is now accompanied with severe headaches. If anyone can send me any name of a good doctor preferably a good neurologist in or around Tel Aviv i would so appreciate it thank you very much

  Someone I know fell and badly hurt her leg but the leg isn't broken. She lives alone and cannot take care of herself at home. She has Maccabi. Can anyone tell me whether Maccabi or another agency offers free intermediate care? It looks like the ER might release her in the coming hours and she literally has no where to go. I think Reishit in Rosh Tzurim would be great for you (though it is co-ed) http://www.nbn.org.il/aliyahpedia/education-ulpan/school-profiles/reishit/ Due to the physical distance from Israel, and the difficulty in navigating the special ed system before having made Aliyah, Nefesh B’Nefesh recommends utilizing the services of a native English speaking educational consultants to not only guide in terms of placement opportunities but moreover to advocate your needs, be responsible for paperwork and overall, managing what is necessary for the placement process. Please see the following a list of educational consultants:http://www.nbn.org.il/aliyahpedia/schools-a-higher-education/education-childteen/636-educational-consultants.html. All consultants offer a free initial consultation (up to 20 minutes). Please note that not every educational consultant is qualified to guide you through the special education system. A Vaadat Hasama (placement committee) will determine whether your child needs to be placed in a special education program. The Vaada is comprised of professionals from Misrad Hachinuch (Ministry of Education) and the local municipality whose job it is to analyze your reports and evaluations, listen to you the parents and/or advocate, and understand the needs of your child. It is recommended to bring a professional working on your behalf to your meeting with the Vaada, in order to help the members of the Vaada get a better "feel" for your child. You may be able to tell the Vaada which program you think is most appropriate for your child's needs and why. At the end of the meeting, a recommendation is given, but the final placement is usually determined closer to the start of the school year. In most cities throughout Israel, the Vaadat Hasama only meets in the spring months (February through May). If your child’s paperwork was not processed and reviewed during this time, there will be other meetings held during the summer months for special cases such as Olim Chadashim. Other cities will review a child’s paperwork and discuss placement only after the date of Aliyah.   I wonder if anyone can advise about medical costs. we haven't made aliya get a d my daughter has got to have urgent medical treatment. our doctor has said that he costs are too expensive i israel and doctors cost about 500usd for half an hour there. she will need hospitalisation. I don't mind paying if it is reasonable as I believe the best treatment centres would be in israel. can any one advise (are the cost really 500usd per half hour?)or recommend doctor

  The The Shira Pransky Project may be able to help you. In general things are cheaper here, But are you talking about coming here privately and paying or making aliyah? Privately paying here would like be more than in the U.S. with insurance (if you have that)

  Just had one of the worst experiences of my life. I don't recommend Dr. Glazer at alll. He just refused me treatment because I don't speak Hebrew yet because he said this is a hebrew speaking country. Truly unbelievable. I hope healthcare isn't this bad everywhere in this country.
