  Does anyone in Mineral Wells area know where to get help with prescription medication? Disability decided out of the blue last month would be his last month. We are appealing it so I assumed his Medicare and Insurance would continue also...but it did not. Now we have paid all the bills and went to get his monthly meds...and without insurance just his pills not including his insulin or insulin pump are over $400!!!! Usually we pay right now $50 with the insurance for everything!! Any help would be appreciated...he can not afford to go without?

  Contact the pharmaceutical co listed on your diabetes meds and ask for help. Needymeds.com for other meds. You may can get at no cost. Ask PCP for samples of anything you take. Most are good to help out

  Once names of meds are known. Search needymeds.com and the site tells if assistance programs is available for no insurance, ins, discount program with manufacturers. St Mary's/mercy health has med program through Wege pharmacy with mercy health drs. I'm sure Spectrum must have programs also.

They cancelled our insurance last week will not have insurance till February the medication is about $80. He was a preemie and occasionally needs his inhaler when his Airway gets irritated. He's just getting over RSV. I was going to go get his medication filled and they notified me that my insurance has been cancelled. My company did not tell me anything about canceling my insurance.   Check with the pharmacy this medication is often on their reduced copay program. Usually around 4 or 10 with their discount code. You can also check needymeds.com

  Hi guys! I am looking for some advice. My mother is in her 60s and was on Medicaid because she is disabled. She takes a slew of medications and it's easier to tell you what's not wrong with her than what is. She recently lost her Medicaid because she now is collecting her late husband's SSI benefits. She now cannot get any type of insurance through the state. Does anyone know of any options she may have? Any insurance companies she can contact that aren't going to cost her an arm and leg? She has frequent Dr. visits that she must make as well. Any help would be appreciated! TIA! P.s. She lives in Iowa, not sure what difference that makes.

  She can medications free from most drug companies. Go to needymeds.com or indigentmeds.com. Search for the meds she needs and fill out the paperwork. She will need her doctors signature on the forms.

  I am not sure of you have a medical condition that requires medications every month or not but there are several organizations that will help cover the cost. NeedyMed has a database and will help you find the right organization. They have a website and here is their phone number 1-800-503-6897. RXassist is another database where you can find specific information on meds. Partnership for Prescription Assistance can also help. Here is their number 1-888-4PPA-NOW.
