  Just a quick heads up. Hire ONLY LICENSED AND INSURED CONTRACTORS to do work that's $500 or more, including time and materials, on your house. I'm currently having some landscape/fence work done at my house, and yesterday a lady and a gentleman from the State Contractors License Board stopped by to check on their license. They had it because I know better. You can get into some serous trouble if you don't use a licensed and insured contractor, not to mention you can be putting yourself in serious financial risk. They said that they were just driving around, and will continue to drive around looking for violations.

  www.cslb.ca.gov or call CSLB at 1-800-321-2752 This is the website and phone number to the State Contractor's License Board...always check the current license on any contractor you may hire! You can see if their license is current, if they have workers comp insurance and if their bond is current. And you can always check the Better Business Bureau! If you hire a licensed contractor and something goes wrong then you have many more options for help! We always recommend a customer to look us up before they hire because if you are a reputable contractor then you don't have anything to hide!
