  Hi ladies. I am posting on behalf of a friend. My friends grandmother has sadly been diagnosed with cancer. The illness has progressed far faster than expected. They are currently at the hospital but are trying to bring grandma home. They are having challenges with the system and really could use an advocate who's only interest is that of the patient. Are there services such as that here in ottawa and where does one go to find that kind of help. This is all new to the family and they really just want to brig grandma home and love her as much as they can. Any help here would be really appreciated. Thank you so much

  There are all of the above proffessionals at the Eye Institute at the Ottawa Hospital. My neurophtamologist was Dr. Patel, (I think he's no longer there) but the Dr. that took over did a follow-up and he seemed very throrough....keep in mind it is a teaching hospital so you see interns etc too. http://www.ottawahospital.on.ca/.../Programs/EyeInstitute
