Suggestions & recommendations request! I’m visiting from Alabama (where I am currently renovating a home) & staying in Midtown for the next 2 days. I am looking for a thrift type store that sells gently used/scratch & dent building materials like tile, countertops, light fixtures, appliances etc. TIA

They aren't open today or Monday, but Lifecycle Building Center is a great place to go, too. https://www.lifecyclebuildingcenter.org/
Steel pipes? I have an artsy type of personal project coming up that I want to use some steel pipe for. I am looking for a good place here in the Atlanta metro-area where I could possibly find some inexpensive lengths of steel pipe, preferably without any threading (though that can always be used or cut off). I would prefer a variety of diameters, but am ok with the same diameter if it is possible to find the right quantity. It doesn't have to be big lengths either, since it will all eventually be cut down to about 1-2 foot lengths. Does anyone have any recommendations for something like this? I would like to avoid having to hit up a hardware store and buying brand new pipe just for it to end up looking older and distressed anyway. Thanks in advance!

Check out the lifecycle building center. They take donations of used building supplies and have a store. It's like a construction version of Goodwill. Plus, recycling. http://www.lifecyclebuildingcenter.org/
