  Any recommendations for a good arborist/tree service? I need some medium-sized trees trimmed. A brief look around the internet seems to show that there are a lot of scummy outfits out there who use door-to-door high pressure sales tactics and exploit neighbor-neighbor tension... None of that is relevant in my case but I'd like to use someone with a good reputation.

  Be very careful -- there are a lot of hacks out there that butcher trees. Our neighbor had some that were essentially unsalvageable after being "trimmed" by what seemed like a reputable outfit. The answer in the Seattle area is to get a referral from [Plant Amnesty](https://www.plantamnesty.org/referral-services2). These are people who really care about doing this stuff right.
