  Suncoast Community Legal Service give free legal advice. As a lawyer I should let you know you are well outside the time limits unfortunately & after 8 years your mother's estate should have been dealt with long ago. Under the Qld Succession Act (if she died in Qld) you would be entitled to a copy of the will. Unfortunately lawyers are onlycrequired to keep files for 7 years after they close their file so youvshould chase up ASAP if you're wanting to find out what happened. You can also try contacting the Public Trustee in case they were involved in either drafting the Will or administering the estate. Good luck.
