Anyway, I've been taking her to Southside Animal Hospital (love Dr. Harris) but time is coming for her to get fixed and I scheduled her to do that. What I'm wondering though if there is possibly a cheaper place to get this done maybe Humane Society? Has anyone gotten their dogs fixed there? Are they good?   The ASPCI sells SNAP certificates for low cost spay/neuter. You must have a household income of $49 k or less. The certificates for felines are $20 and can be purchased at 2631 Martin Street South.   SAVE works with the AL Spay/Neuter Clinic in Birmingham. Thier number is 877-334-9738. Their web site is alspay.org if you would like to check them out. There are programs available to help you with the cost if you need it. Also, SAVE can provide financial assistance. Please contact SAVE by e-mail so we can give you more details and let us help you get this baby spayed. Cats get pregnant so young (about 4 months old) so let's get her spayed as soon as possible. Pets are transported to the Clinic for surgery on the 2 nd and 4 th Mondays of each month and returned the next day. Transport is free and SAVE volunteers assist with the transport.

  Looking for advice from the TNR experts that hang out here. I am getting ready to do my own mini-TNR with 2 cats I've been feeding and sheltering on my porch. I have one trap. My thought was to catch one in my trap, take it in for spay/neuter and then keep it in the house in one of those 3-level cat 'condo'-type crates until I catch the second one, get it fixed, and then release them both. Will that work? One is fairly friendly but the other is very spooky. I already have 6 indoor cats and 4 dogs, which probably will be stressful for whichever one ends up in the 'condo'.
