About us
THE BARN is one of the most recognised specialty coffee roasters in Europe. Our uncompromising dedication to quality means we work only with small batches of premium coffees, fresh and in season, from sustainable and traceable sources. Our beans are served by leading cafés across the globe, from Vancouver to New York, Paris to London, Dubai to Japan.
We value attention to detail in carrying out our promise to farmers that their coffees will be roasted to highlight the diverse taste properties of their crop. THE BARN has been representing the Speciality Coffee Movement at the highest level since 2010, around the world and in our three Berlin-based cafés. THE BARN Café
Our coffee menu offers a range of espresso drinks and handbrewed filter coffees. All coffees are made to order. Filter coffees are only served black. For espresso-based milk drinks we use bio-dynamic milk that is delivered fresh from cow to you. Sandwiches and cakes are all handmade. Fresh juices and fantastic teas are available.
THE BARN Roastery
Our Roastery operates an iconic Brew Bar to showcase different brew techniques. Our menu has a focus on our purest coffee drinks. Our baristas will guide you through our offerings and happily share their knowledge with you.
Freshly roasted coffee beans and brewing equipment are available. Some light and homemade food options can be ordered with your coffee.
THE BARN at Café Kranzler
In December 2016 THE BARN started operating inside Café Kranzler, a landmark building in West Berlin and once one of the best known traditional Coffeehouses in Germany. With a 360 degree view over the busiest boulevard in Berlin and two large sun-terraces, our new flagship store is a must on your visit to West Berlin. I usually get my coffee in the Netherlands (mostly Java and Sumatra), but feel like trying out new things.
