I know there have been referrals for dog boarding/sitting but I have some specific questions. If away for a weekend and the dog has not boarded in a long time - is it better to have someone come in and out and have him stay in his own house or board so that he's not alone all weekend. Besides Petsmart are there any other boarding places that are open late on Sunday to pick him up?

TopPaw resort in Carollton is awesome for active dogs. Huge area to run and play. Worth the drive. Not sure about late pickup on Sunday. Charlie loves it! I believe they offer a free fist visit. http://www.toppawresort.com
