Any good recommendations for yoga for beginners? (Newcastle/Lake Macquarie/Central Coast) Howdy y'all
I'm looking to start yoga but I'm a complete and total noob. I do very basic stretches every day to help with back pain but I want to take it to the next level but also don't want to jump into the deep end and embarrass myself.
Does anyone know of any good yoga places/instructors that take on fresh beginners or hold a beginners class?
Thanks for the help :D

https://www.yogaforall.com.au/ Pay-As-You-Go model. In a lovely little space on Bolton St. Super friendly teachers. I recommend Lyssa but they're all good. Flow 1 is prolly the best intro classes.

For a total, maybe nervous beginner, I would recommend Earthie Yoga in Mayfield (payment by donation, small classes with beginner friendly instructors, and out of the cbd, next to a good cafe) It's really small and friendly, they can give you personalised attention and it's a great place to dip your toe in the ocean of yoga available.
In Newcastle CBD area, I would also highly recommend Ashtanga Yoga Newcastle (they have both led classes and self-led practices) - this is a great place if you are interested in learning from scratch and getting really great support to learn a more traditional style. They LOVE beginners here because they can teach you everything the way you're really supposed to learn it.
There are HEAPS of other places in Newcastle CBD so I can really only speak from my experiences. From that I would only rec Yoga for All out of the others available, they offer a lot of different fairly good classes (beginner friendly) only downsize is that the classes can be a bit crowded and busy and thus sometimes scary if you're new.
All of these places have websites! Don't be embarrassed! Being a beginner is the most fun time :)
