I am looking to collaborate with anybody willing to help me with a plan to safely assist 2 dogs that are in a field by 53rd Ave and Montebello in Glendale, AZ. The dogs are not a candidate for gaining with a gentle or welcoming approach per 2 individuals who made an attempt to get them already. Is there anybody that is willing to let me borrow a humane trap large enough to accommodate a 60# Pit Dalmatian Mix. Any suggestions besides a humane trap? Idealistically we need 1-2 people willing to sit and watch the trap. Since they are in an area where food is plentiful, they may not take the trap right away. This may require teams in shifts? Next, we need to know if there is a private individual that would be willing to foster if we can get a rescue to step-up. We will need funding for sterilization, vaccinations, and vet check for both of the dogs. One of the dogs has older injuries (per an individual that works near by and has been making attempts to get to the dog for more than a month), not sure the extent of the injuries. I have the number to county. While I am only interested in what is best for these dogs, I am only trying to call county or AHS as a last resort. I am hoping that there is a well enough established group of networkers on this page that we can help these guys and they will never be exposed to the imminent death they could very well be faced with.
