The VCA hospital charges about $200 every time for blood work which gets expensive fast. Can anyone recommend a veterinarian that can do more cost effective blood work?

Vicki T. asked:Following the advise of a good friend, I am asking for assistance with regard to a kitten with feline herpes. She is almost 12 weeks, with an ulcer on her eye that may rupture along with a hole. We took her and her sister (who doesn't have herpes) to the vet today. This was their first visit since we rescued them. We were hit with a bill of almost $230 each today. That was just for shots and testing on the one kitten's eye. The vet said the test would determine if the hole in her eye was deep enough that would mean going to a specialist and possibly removing that eye. We couldn't afford everything. We just did the the antibiotics and eye drops. Please if anyone knows who could help us out. I don't want to give up on these kittens!!!!!!!

We have an appointment to get my boy neutered because he's been acting up the past week and trying to mount our girl and has been acting out with the strays we feed. He doesn't go outside but if he sees a female he freaks. But I want to try to get him to a vet that will help find out if he's even neutered or not before we take a space up to get him neutered. I have been calling around and it been from $50-$70 to get him just looked at for being neutered. I was wondering if anyone had a vet they know can help or anyone who knows a way I can be sure about him being neutered?
