  Does anybody know of any body around here that specializes in working with the Affordable Care Act? A few months ago I moved up here from Texas and of course had to change my insurance from what I had down in Texas to what is offered up here. I keep submitting them documents every day they call me two or three times a day and keep asking for the same things and I have one more week before I cannot get any more insurance. Talking to these incompetent people that work for the government is a lesson in frustration for sure. Thank you.

  I spoke to the people from health.gov on the first day and I even got my booklet from blue cross. The next week I get 5 notices in the mail telling you haven't signed up yet. So I call them up again and they tell me its not in the computer so we need to resign me up ,so I do that and I'm told all done. Well yesterday I looked at email and it tells me I haven't signed up yet.

  Cherokee Health... Chapman Highway in Seymour, next to Kroger. In years past, they had people...an appointment was needed. We couldn't have done it without them the first time.

  That's what I do. Not only do I have it all year long no matter if I'm between assignments or decide to take time off. I found an insurance broker or you can call the insurance companies directly or that health.gov. it's actually not that much more then doing it through your company

  Whatever you do, don't google health insurance and then put your phone number on 4 or 5 different "contact me for more info" applications. I made that mistake. I worked that overnight shift. The following day I woke m up to over 100 missed calls and about 80 voicemails from shady brokers all trying to sell the same shady plan that wasn't even essential coverage under the ACA for around $200 per month. At first I would literally get a phone call every couple minutes. I spent weeks telling salesmen to take me off their list. It calmed down after a couple weeks but it was a nightmare. I still get 2 or 3 calls per week 2 years later.

  A relative of mine went on health.gov the other day. No problem. Was able to compare policy choices, and ended up with a more comprehensive policy than the one she had - and for $100 less a month than she had been paying. Don't know if this is the norm or not, but might be worth checking out.

  Marketplace is the place to.go starting October 1 st to purchase insurance. Its insurance companies offering plans at different levels. And if ur income is below a certain amount then the govt will subsidize u. U can go to health.gov and do a little questionnaire about ur family size and income. I think it was like less than 75000 for a family of 4 would recieve some form of subsidizing. It doesn't officially open till October 1 st. Buy u can do the questionnaire and know what to have ready come october
