Hi there! Can anyone out there recommend Mysore classes (early morning) in South East London? I am based in Sydenham, so ideally as close as possible. Thanks, jackie

Jess at https://www.facebook.com/111325892285587 Moving Prayer ૐ is probably your closest option for morning Mysore...she's also a wonderful and hjghly experienced teacher. If the timing and locations don't work and you can travel to London Bridge then Stillpoint Yoga London http://www.stillpointyogalondon.com is your next best option....
Any recommendations for ashtanga yoga teacher training courses with a distance learning element? Single working parent so need flexible childcare friendly teaching options and somewhere commutable from Guildford surrey...

And this is a link to Scott Johnson's website at SYL: http://www.stillpointyogalondon.com/syl-documentary/

Hi Ruth, a BWY TT course will only give you a general yoga teaching qualification. It will not offer Ashtanga training, neither will it qualify you to teach authentic Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Have you considered John Scott's teacher training, which is closely allied to Mysore, and has the benefit of being based in Europe. You could contact Scott Johnson at Stillpoint Yoga London to chat about this - he trained with John and Lucy Scott and now runs the SYL ashtanga yoga studio in London. But the BWY? No. It will take large chunk of your time - 3 years - an even larger chunk of your money - circa £3 k - and not take you any closer to your goal - teaching Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.
