I need landscape services performed, and I'm in the dark about how to go about it or who to ask.
Back story is that I had groundwater seepage behind the wall of my basement and it caused mold to grow there. I got help from PuroClean with cleaning that up and make it safe again, so that is done (PuroClean was great btw).
Where I'm stuck now is fixing the root cause (possibly causes?)
As best as I am able to tell there are a couple:
1. house's gutter downspout ran underground and then back out away from the house via corrugated plastic tubing that possibly got breached, allowing downspout flow to soak the ground at that area
2. Grading away from the house is not sufficient in one area close to a basement window
The gutters have been replaced and the downspout issue is fixed, I think, but I am completely stuck at this point. I've been told alternately to use fill dirt to grade the land, to install a catch basin, or to install some other drainage system I don't remember the name of.
Does anyone have experience with something like this, or know someone who could offer professional help? I contacted our regular yard maintenance folks and he was able to give some advice, but never outright said that his company could fix it. I have emailed him again, but just want to get this done the right way and soon.
I appreciate any help!
