  Not sure what you mean by a sling bed, but we love our Kuranda beds! They elevate the dogs and the aluminum frames they are offering now last against even my most destructive. I recommend you use a fleece (Kuranda and other companies sell the double sided fleeces and we get ours from Diane's Dreams or Mr. Wags) and/or pad (we love the Primo Pads), because the kuranda beds are not padded, but they get the dogs off the ground, are functional and durable. Check them out at Kuranda.com. We have tried many other brands and there are some good ones, but the Kuranda folks do a lot of great work with shelters and rescues, are very responsive to customers, and, as noted, the beds are durable.

  I have 2 of the Kuranda aluminum dog beds. They r indestructible. My Dane/mastiff mix is #170 and he's uses it all the time. It's 3 years oil and still looks new. This is the bed u want

  I recommend the Kuranda beds, too, Laura. I use them inside and out (XXL). I got mine from Ebay -- great price. Inside, I put a fleece bed on top, Tempo and the Girls LOVE it. You can take them outside and hose them off. If you need to, you can order replacement pieces, but they are very durable. I think this picture, I just took of Miss Abby Doodle Bug, in the Bully Kids' Kuranda bed, says it all

  Any suggestions for an indestructible crate pad that is machine washable? My bully doesn't shred his beds but my other two big dogs do. They really need the crate pads bc they both are developing callouses on their elbows. Can anyone who sews recommend the toughest machine washable material they know of! Thanksss!

  A kuranda raised bed or a large ortho bed from Master Piece Pet Products. I have a really large male and he especially loves his Kuranda. He sleeps on it with a pillow and silk feeling mat that he likes to rub his face on. Yes he is my big baby.

  Kuranda Brilliant had mine for 10 years with 5 big dogs look it up but you have to buy in the UK but they wills end it over. Not cheap but will last you and you can replace each and every peice if anything breaks
