  Today was not a good day. I made a promise to myself not to post any negative comments about my mother's hospital care but now I am breaking that promise!!!! my Mom is worse now than when she came to this hospital 6 days ago!! Her breathing/oxygen is worse, her blood pressure dropping and pain is not controlled. We still have no answers on what type of cancer she has in her lungs and liver nor do we have a treatment plan which the doc says may not discuss for 2 more weeks. She is in a very small, remote hospital. For those of you who have loved ones that was diagnosed with cancer, how long did it take before they rec'd some sort of treatment? I asked if she could be moved to a cancer hospital where she would get better care and the nurse said that only her primary doc could do that and he would have to find another doctor willing to take her. I need help or advice if anyone has it. Please continue to pray for strength for her to keep fighting.

  Karen...The web site is leapfroggroup.org. You can compare hospital safety scores by city. You can also go to the Hospital Safety Score to see how they rank. Both sites have easy to read graphics. I hope this helps. If you need anything else, let me know.
