  Can anyone recommend a restaurant for a large group meal? Looking for venue suggestions for a 30th birthday meal. I had booked Merchants Tavern near Old St, but we've had too many takers and they can only fit 22 seated in their private dining room. We are up to 26 now. http://www.merchantstavern.co.uk Looking for something similar I guess. Ideally toward East, but can be flexible. Meal will be on a Sunday lunchtime in December.   The Easton in clerkenwell near to Exmouth Market often hires out the whole bar to parties and does great food. A bit annoying for locals like me who are deprived of a favourite place to drink on occasions when there's a private party, but can thoroughly recommend. www.theeastonpub.co.uk
