  im messaging you to ask if you know of a place that takes pittbulls that is a no kill. i have a friend that lives in the desert and needs to find his 5 year old dog a new home . he has tried via lobos but has gotten no help from them also some other places but hasn't heard from them . i asked some basic info on him he has had his shots but is not current also does get along with other dogs when around them after awhile . please help if you can i wouldn't want to see another pit put down or abandoned out on the street. thank you

  Via Lobos relocated to New Orleans. You can try www.ocpbr.org & www.angelcitypits.org but be aware they cannot just "take" him. Finding a new home can take weeks or months & rescues rely on foster homes, so if you can keep the dog while they try to find a home they most likely will help you. Plus is he neutered? If not, then get that done asap. You cannot expect them to pay for those things on top of helping you re-home your friend's dog. He should be neutered, microchipped & current on vaccinations (with the certificates from a licensed veterinarian) before you contact them. Or at least the appointment should be made. Goldenstate Humane Society in LB does the surgery for less than $40.
