  We have a wonderful camp , it is located in Center Point Texas ! It was started by a doctor ! They offer week long summer camps and weekend respite camps !the name of the camp is Children's Association for Maximum Potential or Camp Camp ! Here is their web site !   We did Camp ASCA in Alabama last summer, for military - it was free, they have a week where military (first come first serve) families can come and stay in a room together. We are returning again this summer around the July 4 th weekend. It was a great experience for our family. We were totally wiped by the end of it, with 3 small kids, but it was so worth it. This summer we are also going to do Camp Yofi, in Georga - it's a 5 day camp in august for Jewish families living with autism. There are some great activities and respit options for the parents while the children are busy in activities. We've heard good things about it, but I can let you know about our experience by the end of the summer. I have heard great things about Camp CAMP in the Hill Country, San Antonio, TX, but our son at the time was too young to attend. Just the other day at a doctor's visit, the doctor suggested it to me.

  Camp Camp in San Antonio is fantastic for all different kinds of special needs. they also allow siblings who are not special needs to attend so the parents can have a full break for themselves.
