  Hi Steven I'm one of the Vets at Avondale in Strathaven. If you would like to come down for a look around - and that applies to anybody else reading, please email me direct or PM me. mark@avondalevets.co.uk Lisa - it is absolutely not the case we are more interested in farm and equine. I am head of the small animal side. We have an amazing facility for small animals - in fact I started with Avondale as a Locum Vet in the summer and was so impressed with the facilities and staff here that I moved my family from Aberdeen and took up a full time position. I'm sorry you've had a bad experience with us Lisa, I would be interested in the details to perhaps help and prevent it happening again in future. PM me. We pay a great deal of attention to keeping abreast of current best practice - both in terms of the facilities in place and the treatment we provide. For instance Nikki one of our Vets has a particular interest in cats and additional qualifications in feline medicine. It is very difficult changing anything when we don't get feedback and its really important to us that everybody has the best experience possible.
