Hi expats. My parents have a 285 acre finca in the mountains above Orosi, Cartago that they bought in 1993. My dad recently passed away, so we are planning to sell the property. It's mostly in a natural state, borders a river, is about 4500 ft elevation, lots of hills, lush forest, wildlife, etc. and has views of both Turrialba and Poas volcanoes. There are 2 buildings: a converted barn/caretaker's residence and a 10 bedroom (20 beds) dormitory with kitchen and 2 communal bathrooms (4 toilets and 3 hot showers each). (Dad was a retired teacher in California who liked to host school groups to teach them about CR and the forest). I'm looking for a realtor to give me a market value and list the property. I'm not looking for the guy down the street who sells real estate in his spare time, but an actual professional employed realtor who speaks English and knows RE in CR. I'm thinking an international firm (ReMax or Century 21) with access to global buyers. So far, I can't get anyone at ReMax San Jose to call me back. If you know of a good realtor that fits the above description, I'd appreciate the referral.
