Hello everyone. Can anybody tell me if a place where I could find books for teaching Spanish? I have some students interested in learning. Thank you in advance.
David S. replied:
Whatthebook.com has great options and can order for you internationally
Not sure if this has been asked before, but can anyone recommend any good bookstores or libraries with a sizable English catalogue? Thanks!
William P. replied:
whatthebook.com Seoul English bookshop that will deliver to Ulsan for free or a small fee depending on your order size. They also have an excellent selection of used books. I haven't found a place in Ulsan that operates anywhere their level.
Michael F. replied:
Ulsan Science Museum in Mugeodong. You can also order online from What the Book. They're in Itaewon.
Jason T. replied:
You can order online from what the book and they usually are fairly fast if they have it. Otherwise it may take a week or longer as the book with come from the states
Shane C. replied:
I'd also highly recommend What The Book. Locally, the book store in the basement of Lotte Department Store has a reasonable selection of English books.
Can anyone recommend a site for ordering books in English to be delivered to Gwangju for a reasonable price?
Tried ordering 3 used novels off amazon and the shipping alone was $65...
Thank you!! :)
Hey folks! Here's a question for all you bibliophiles out there: from where do you get your books? Online? A local bookstore? I'd love to add this to the FAQ!
Jen L. replied:
I do 95% of my book shopping from WhatTheBook.Com. Shipping is cheap, and they're really helpful on getting payments and other stuff sorted for you. Their store in Itaewon has a pretty decent selection, but I've been able to find a bunch of super rare books in their online catalog that were sold out on sites like Amazon for surprisingly cheap prices.
Basil K. replied:
I get mine from whatthebook.com, as well. I occasionally will get some from amazon. For stuff for teaching from TOP or whatthebook.com
Amanda K. replied:
I use What the Book and sometimes Interpark books.

Ryan K. replied:
Anytime I have ordered from What The Book, I have gotten the delivery within 24 hours. It's pretty hard to beat that.
I'm looking for somewhere that sells magazines (fashion ones in particular). I've looked in the new underground book shop downtown and at yp books in usquare but they don't sell magazines/were sold out. Any other ideas? I can't think of anywhere else off the top of my head.
Justin T. replied:
You can check WhatTheBook's website. They are based in Itaewon and shipping seems to be reasonable. I've ordered from them in the past and the service was great. http://whatthebook.com/

Deirdre M. replied:
You can find English children's books at Kidari (on the interactive map) and at the Bandi and Lund bookstore in the basement of the Lotte Department store. You can also order English books from Whatthebook.com, based in Seoul.
