Leclair Decor is an Ottawa-based interior decorating firm founded and co-owned by husband and wife team Sacha and Melissa Leclair. After love and marriage -but slightly before the baby carriage- we bought our first house and got to work revamping it from top to bottom. Through the process of working together to transform our house into a home, we fell in love again – this time with the art of decorating interior spaces. After sharing photos of our progress and final product online, we immediately received requests from friends and acquaintances to guide them in revitalizing their own condos and houses. Voila! Leclair Decor was born.
What we do:
Our specialties are project management, home decorating, and design consulting, which are provided to our clients through one-time consultations or more comprehensive project management services. Our clients are vibrant homeowners who want to create a beautiful space or home that looks both stylish and cozy. We love to mix finishes and styles to create truly personal spaces for our clients. Guiding our clients on where to spend and where to save is one of our fortes.
What sets us apart:
We absolutely love what we do! Nothing brings us greater satisfaction than the moment we get to reveal a newly beautified space to our clients. From the moment we sit down with a new client to the final day of installation, we’re excited about the project and work hard to share that excitement through strong communication and collaboration with the homeowner. We are young, energetic, outgoing and make a point of combining emerging trends with classic design principles to create beautiful, modern spaces.
Hi Ladies - a family member asked me if I knew of a good interior designer and I said - let me ask......anyone know someone locally that you'd recommend?
Interior Designer needed I was wondering if anyone had used an interior designer before and how it turned out.
I moved into my new house last August and havent done anything to it yet, and really want to try and make it mine but I have no idea where to start or what to do with it. I am finally in a place where I can afford to paint and buy some accent stuff but have no real idea how to match or what colours to use.
Each time I sit down to try and start I get overwhelmed and give up, figured a designer might be able to help me out.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I would start at houzz.com or pinterest and just collect styles that you like. After a while you should be able to just emulate some of the things that you like, and maybe pick up a few accents from etsy/white monkey/homesense/crate and barrel in mtl/toronto/wherever. If you're still set on paying someone to do it... Houzz has a pretty solid interior designer listing. Just find ones you like there.. or ping leclairdecor.com... a local couple that are doing some great work (no relation, just like their style)
