Hello lovely Munsterlander people! We need a little advice please. Our lovely monster Munster has "happy tail syndrome" and wags it so much that he has damaged the skin at the very very tip of the tail. It is smaller than half my little finger nail, but won't heal over! He has had it bandaged up for months now, we have treated with antibiotics, Manuka honey, aloe Vera, tea tree cream, tcp wash and still, every time the bandage comes off we are back to square one with blood every where! The only answer the vet gives is to have his tail docked - really short!!!!!!!!! And I am horrified that this is their only answer. I am sure his tail will stiffen slightly when he is a bit older and the whip-like effect won't be as great. Has anyone got any suggestions - polite only please? I'm wondering if lavender oil gauze may help or colloidal silver. I've exhausted my natural remedy ideas and would welcome suggestions that won't cost me thousands! Thank you.
